Walesinterrierikerho ry. – The Welsh Terrier Club of Finland

The Welsh Terrier Club of Finland is a Helsinki based dog breed association established in 1975. The Club covers whole Finland. The Club brings together Welsh Terrier enthusiasts, promotes the breed and develops its breeding in Finland.

At the end of 2018, the Club had 77 members. The Club is a member of the Finnish Kennel Club, Helsingin Seudun Kennelpiiri, Suomen Terrierijärjestö and the Finnish Agility Association.

Finnish Welsh Terriers are active in dog shows and agility trials as well as cheerful pets. Welsh Terriers have also participated to the genetics research of Professor Hannes Lohi at University of Helsinki. Information on ongoing questionnaires and sample collection, please see Jalostus pages.
